Antonio was a MOSCOT porter around Sol’s time in the Shop. As reliable as he was tough (read: very), he was surprisingly refined when it came to repairing the delicate equipment behind the counter. A "balebus" is someone who is resolute, indomitable, and steadfast - qualities Great Grandpa Hyman so admired, he "invented" the "word" balebus to "identify" a "balebuster" whenever he saw one. Nearly 100 years later, we Moscots still love us a balebus, but think this frame may be a more appropriate way to "identify" one.

Close friends and family nicknamed Grandpa Sol, Zilch, which we are absolutely certain they meant ironically since Grandpa Sol was anything and everything but zero, nada, or zip. Or they were mean. Either way, we love this new frame, and Grandpa Sol. Made from acetate with column rivets on the front and temples, a key hole bridge, and a real five barrel hinge.
